If you could have the power of teleportation right now, where would you go and why?
I would transport myself to Fiji where I could walk along the beach and catch some sun rays. My sister went there on her travels and it looks like an absolute paradise. -
If you were to arrange an online dinner party who would you add to your guest list? (This could include people you know or people you don’t know).
RuPaul, Alan Carr, Matt Haig, Dave Grohl, Dolly Parton and Jack Black. -
What is your favourite self-care routine you do when you need a pick me up?
A hot bath with a bath bomb and a lot of bubbles, followed by a homemade bowl of Bolognese, a glass of red wine and a nostalgic film. -
What is your most memorable moment at Parliament Hill so far?
It was great meeting everyone in the office and then sitting down to a group quiz at the end of the day. -
Who or what has an inspired you over the past year?
My mom is a single parent who worked extremely hard as a registered nurse for about 30yrs, working in multiple hospitals and various roles. She has always been such a caring character, always looking out for other people and helping anyone in need. Even with her career in healthcare ending due to the pandemic, she has found a small retail role where she continues looking out for others. -
What is your top TV watch recommendation?
It has to be RuPauls Drag Race. It is so creative in every way, and teaches so much about different LGBTQ+ communities. It is a programme where people from all over the world are free to express themselves in any way. It is also hilarious and generally a feel good show. -
If you could be an animal, which animal would it be and why?
It would have to be a dog.. in particular a Golden Retriever. They are such cuddly dogs but are also very intelligent and adventurous. They are also very good at getting what they want. -
How does it feel to start a new job via Zoom?
It was really different, as I have never been in a role that is mainly working from home. However, everyone in the team is so friendly and welcoming it hasn’t felt like I have been working via zoom etc. Everyone is here for each other so you know that you have the help and support you need when you need it. -
What fictional family would you be a member of?
I think it would be the Quinn Family in Derry Girls. -
If you could pick a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
Drumming! It looks like a great way to let your energy out.
